PEMF Therapy
PEMF stands for pulsed electromagnetic field. PEMF promotes cellular exercise, which increases circulation, blood oxygenation, and helps the body recovery naturally, while reducing inflammation and relieving pain. Using MagnaWave sends a pulsating charge through tissues to provide energy to large focal areas like joints and major muscle groups. Penetration of the charge can be up to 16 to 18 inches into the equine body.
MagnaWave is used in nearly every competitive equestrian discipline for equine performance enhancement, health maintenance, and recovery. PEMF has beneficial effects in alleviating equine tendon and ligament injuries, sore backs, sore stifles, chronic hock soreness, sore shoulders, non-union fractures, laminitis, founder, stone bruises, and non-healing wounds. PEMF encourages the body to recovery naturally.

Massage, PEMF, & Laser Therapy
This is the ultimate combination of body work. I can assess and work on your horse with my hands so that I know where better to focus the laser and PEMF therapy.
To get a baseline on your horse, I perform a static and dynamic evaluation. I look at conformation, muscle symmetry, and biomechanics. I then proceed to work on the whole body, focusing on the areas that have tension by performing effleurage, myofascial work, deep tissue, trigger point, cross-fiber friction, and stretching techniques. You will receive a detailed report after the session, along with some “homework” for you and your horse.
The benefits of bodywork include pain relief, injury prevention, relaxation, increased locomotor function, increased circulation, preparation for competitions, and an accelerated recovery time from competitions and training. Bodywork can benefit any horse from retired to grand prix level competitors.

Laser Therapy
Respond Systems Luminex Vet is a higher power class 3b laser. Laser therapy is a gentle, non-invasive modality that helps support the body’s natural healing processes. It can benefit horses by:
Reducing inflammation and soreness in muscles, tendons, and joints
Improving circulation, which helps tissues recover more quickly
Supporting injury prevention by keeping soft tissues healthy and resilient
Enhancing overall performance by promoting comfort, suppleness, and range of motion
Speeding healing for existing strains or localized discomfort
Laser therapy targets specific tissues, using light energy to stimulate healing at a cellular level. It’s ideal for focused areas of inflammation, soreness, tendon or ligament strain, or localized discomfort.
Laser therapy is safe, well-tolerated, and a great complement to hands-on bodywork. During a session, I’ll identify the areas that would respond best and apply the laser in a way that aligns with your horse’s needs.
